El Socorro Beach in Los Realejos will host an open-air cinema cycle from August 10th to 15th, coinciding with the solar eclipse on August 12th, when certified glasses will be distributed.

The Youth Department of the Los Realejos City Council has organized a new edition of the open-air cinema cycle under the theme ‘Una playa de cine’ (A Beach of Cinema). Free screenings will take place daily at 9:30 PM between Monday, August 10th, and Saturday, August 15th.
As a new feature this year, on Wednesday, August 12th, coinciding with the predicted partial solar eclipse, 500 certified glasses for safe observation of the astronomical phenomenon will be distributed for free. This initiative, promoted by the City Council itself, aims to raise awareness about eye protection when viewing solar events.
The film program includes the following titles: ‘Como Dios manda’ on Monday 10th, ‘El 47’ on Tuesday 11th, ‘Fly me to the moon’ on Wednesday 12th, ‘Campeonex’ on Thursday 13th, ‘Salvajes’ on Friday 14th, and ‘Bob Marley: One love’ on Saturday 15th of August. The distribution of glasses for the eclipse will take place between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at El Socorro Beach itself.
