The ordinary plenary session of the La Orotava Town Hall is scheduled for Monday, July 27, 2026, with an expected start at 9:00 AM. Citizens will be able to follow the proceedings live through the link provided on the council's official website.
The plenary agenda includes the reading and approval of the minutes from the previous session, held on June 29, 2026. It will also cover decrees issued by the Mayor's Office and delegated councilors between May 21 and June 20, 2026, as well as mayoral resolutions contrary to the objections raised by Municipal Intervention in February, March, and April of 2026.
Among the items to be addressed are files for the declaration of public use of several roads within the municipality, including a pedestrian path on Camino El Pino, La Perdoma. Furthermore, prices for the selective collection of paper, cardboard, and light packaging contract will be reviewed, and a claim from "Gruporaga S.A.U." regarding financial compensation for the maintenance of gardens and green spaces will be discussed.
The Territorial Planning and Land Management commission will present files for the approval of recognitions and distinctions for Local Police officers on the occasion of the "Santos Custodios" (Holy Guardians) day.
Additionally, motions presented by the municipal groups PSOE and Mixto (Asamblea por La Orotava and PP) will be debated. These motions concern the creation of parking areas on Camino de Chasna, the implementation of provisional parking on land adjacent to the municipal cemetery, the transformation of the election model for the Corpus Christi and San Isidro Labrador queen, and the development of an economic study for the rehabilitation of homes on Paseo Domínguez Alfonso.
Finally, questions will be raised regarding the situation of the former convent of San Francisco, the future auditorium of the C.E.O. "Manuel de Falla", the replacement of the roof of the "La Torrita" Multi-purpose Center, and an accessibility study of population centers by SINPROMI. There will also be inquiries about the presence of homeless individuals, pest control, regulation of vacation rentals, municipal housing projects, recognition of residents' achievements, and the declaration of the municipality as a "Zoned Tension" area.
