Mayor Leopoldo Afonso and the Councilor for Tourism and Culture, Desiré Díaz, presented the municipality's proposal at the international fair, highlighting its recognizable identity and diversity beyond traditional tourism.
Participation in WTM, held until November 5 at the ExCeL London venue, includes professional meetings with international tour operators and tourism representatives to facilitate the destination's commercialization in various markets, with a special focus on the British market.
Throughout November, a tourist bus will tour the streets of London under the slogan "Are you cold? We are not!" to contrast the autumn climate of the British capital with the mild weather of Puerto de la Cruz, complementing the fair presence.
Councilor Desiré Díaz emphasized that the offer combines cultural, sports, and gastronomic experiences that can be enjoyed year-round, paying attention to quality, sustainability, and coexistence with residents.
The United Kingdom is the main international source market for Tenerife, with over 2.7 million British tourists in 2025. This data contextualizes Puerto de la Cruz's interest in diversifying its tourist offer.
