The program, promoted by the Councillor for Education, Raquel Morales Izquierdo, aims to reinforce the commitment to comprehensive education and facilitate work-life balance for families, offering educational, cultural, and leisure alternatives for afternoons.
The educational offerings include educational reinforcement, English, and Crea-Arte (Creative Art) for Primary students, as well as psychomotricity for both Infant and Primary levels. All activities will take place in the afternoon and will commence in October.
The educational and municipal centers hosting these activities are the CEIP Virgen del Pilar, Abona, Granadilla, Isaac de Vega, La Jurada, Montaña Roja, Los Blanquitos, Los Abrigos, and Charco del Pino, in addition to the El Salto Cultural Center.
Raquel Morales Izquierdo highlighted that these activities complement the school day and respond to the demand from many families, fostering creativity, linguistic skills, and physical movement. She emphasized the priority of supporting families with proposals that not only reinforce academic learning but also contribute to the personal, social, and emotional development of children.
The registration period will open next week and will remain open until all available spots are filled. Families can complete their registration through the City Council's institutional website. The cost of the service for the period from October to June will be 40 euros for the first child, 20 euros for the second, and 10 euros for the third.
