The Granadilla de Abona City Council has awarded a 147,886-euro contract to implement a new social and wellness program for seniors and CADI users, starting this October.

The project aims to promote active participation, creativity, and learning through a diverse range of workshops. Offerings include painting, computer skills, gymnastics, and crafts, with sewing and patchwork introduced as new additions this year.
In addition to educational activities, the service ensures comprehensive care by including an occupational therapist and a psychologist. These professionals will provide specialized support to address the personal and emotional needs of the participants.
Sessions will be held at both the municipality's senior centers and the Center for Care for People with Intellectual Disabilities. Through this initiative, the local government reinforces its commitment to active aging and improving the quality of life for these groups.
