The Department of Citizen Participation of the Granadilla de Abona City Council, headed by councilor Adaisy Arias, has announced the resumption of the ‘Granadilla con su Cultura’ initiative. This participatory workshop program returns with a more dynamic offering, tailored to citizens' interests, and will run from September until May of next year.
Under the slogan ‘Discover, Learn, Enjoy’, the new edition aims to create spaces for meeting, learning, creativity, and personal development. The program includes a wide variety of workshops for different ages and profiles, such as Latin dances, introduction to computing, crochet, sewing and alterations, theater, cold porcelain, painting, chess, yoga, Canarian instruments, and intergenerational dance and movement.
Adaisy Arias highlighted the intention to evolve and bring municipal activities closer to residents. "We want each activity to be an opportunity to learn, connect, and enjoy, creating spaces for coexistence that contribute to strengthening our municipality," she stated. She emphasized the importance of listening to citizen demands to design a useful, dynamic, and participatory program.
The Department of Citizen Participation stresses that the initiative seeks not only to expand the sociocultural offerings but also to strengthen citizen participation and the social fabric of Granadilla de Abona, fostering connections between people of different ages. "Citizen participation is also built in these everyday spaces," added the councilor, ensuring a program that is accessible and open to all.

Through this initiative, the Department of Citizen Participation continues to consolidate a program that combines culture, training, leisure, and participation, with proposals adapted to the municipality's current reality.
