El Cabezo Beach hosted a decisive day at the Wind&Waves Festival, where wind and wave conditions allowed for a high-level spectacle to crown the world champions. The event, held in 2026, concluded with victories for Paré and Offringa.
Marc Paré demonstrated his dominance on the Tenerife waves by winning his third consecutive title at the event, following his victories in 2024 and 2025. The Catalan rider completed an impeccable competition, winning all four heats contested, including the grand final.
On his path to the title, Paré defeated Liam Dunkerbeck and Víctor Fernández in the quarterfinals, and Josep Pons and Jules Denel in the semifinals. He faced Philip Köster, Marino Gil, and Lennart Neubauer in the final, achieving the highest score of the championship with 36.63 points.
In the women's category, Aruban Sarah-Quita Offringa, a 29-time world champion, revalidated her crown. Like Paré, Offringa dominated all her heats, winning the final with 25.32 points, ahead of Lina Erpenstein (22.63), Alexia Kiefer Quintana (21.88), and Justyna Sniady (18.80).
The Wind&Waves Festival is heading into its final stages with the Master, Pro Junior Girls, and Junior Girls categories yet to be decided. The weekend will conclude with the Foil discipline, closing the event's sporting program.
The festival is supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Tenerife, and the Granadilla de Abona City Council, as well as sponsorship from brands such as Playa Surf CBbC Hotel, Balearia, Veinte 04, Future Fly Boards, and Foil Drive.
