The Granadilla de Abona City Council, through its Citizen Participation department, will organize the 'Granadilla Convive 2026' event on October 12th. This initiative aims to highlight the cultural diversity and traditions of the various communities residing in the municipality.
The Plaza de la Cultura in San Isidro will be the venue for this celebration, running from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The program includes musical performances, folk dances, international gastronomic tastings, craft exhibitions, and activities designed for all ages.
This gathering will provide an opportunity for the participating communities to share their customs and cultural expressions, fostering a space for exchange and participation that reflects the identity of Granadilla de Abona.
The choice of October 12th, a date historically significant for encounters between peoples, underscores the objective of ‘Granadilla Convive 2026’ to focus on the current reality of coexistence in the municipality, where residents from diverse backgrounds contribute to its social, economic, and cultural development.

The councilwoman encouraged citizens to participate in this event, envisioned as a meeting point for all ages and backgrounds. "Coexisting also means knowing each other, respecting each other, and building our future together. That's why we invite residents and visitors to come to San Isidro, enjoy the program, and be part of this celebration," she concluded.
