Under the flickering light of a streetlight, two men meet in the play 'Hombres de aire'. One carries the remnants of what was; the other retains an innocence unaware of the world. Between them, the wind becomes an accomplice and witness, stirring memories, guilt, and silences. In the background, Nina, eternal and still, holds onto waiting like an invisible thread that still binds them to life.
'Hombres de aire' is a story about solitude, memory, and the traces we leave on others. An intimate and poetic look at those men who seem to fade away without making a sound and the profoundly human need not to disappear entirely.
The play will be performed on Wednesday, October 21st, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, at the Jesús Arencibia Cultural Space. Admission is free until full capacity.
This new cultural facility, which pays tribute to the renowned Gran Canarian painter Jesús Arencibia, features six different environments distributed across three floors. Its classrooms, spaces for music, workshops or talks, its auditorium (with a capacity for 345 people), the youth area with a library including a reading room, study zone, and group work rooms, as well as a multipurpose exhibition hall, are launching with an active program that will offer various proposals week by week to residents of the area and from other municipalities.
