A traffic accident on Avenida Marítima in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria this Tuesday morning has left a 58-year-old motorcyclist with serious injuries, leading to significant traffic delays in the area.

The incident occurred around 7:30 AM, near the courts of the Gran Canaria capital, heading towards the Port of Las Palmas. The collision between a motorcycle and a car prompted the mobilization of emergency services.
The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands reported on the event. As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist sustained severe trauma and was urgently transported to the Hospital Insular de Gran Canaria by a medicalized ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC).
To manage the emergency, the SUC dispatched one medicalized ambulance and two basic life support units. Concurrently, local police officers intervened to regulate traffic on Avenida Marítima and prepare the accident report, ensuring safety in the area during assistance operations.
