The sustainable urban art from 'Rebel Walls. Urban Stories' will be showcased on the esplanade of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on June 23rd. The initiative aims to entertain attendees before the Honors and Distinctions ceremony, a central event of the city's Founding Festivals.
From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the main steps of the auditorium will host various dance and rap performances. These exhibitions will be supported by La Musicleta, a project that generates electricity through pedaling to power the show, thus promoting sustainability.
This showcase aligns with the philosophy of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria's bid for European Capital of Culture in 2031. Previously, the Castillo de la Mata Museum hosted the 'Rebel Walls.Urban Stories' exhibition, establishing itself as a hub for urban art.
Dozens of young urban artists will participate in this event on the Las Canteras promenade, presenting expressions linked to sustainability, creativity, and multicultural coexistence. The program includes urban dance showcases, dance battles, and rap and freestyle performances.
