The General Directorate of Building and Activities of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has ordered the suspension of two establishments located on Joaquín Costa and Fernando Guanarteme streets, in the Puerto area of the capital.

The resolutions respond to complaints about disturbances caused by musical activity in the Joaquín Costa establishment, and for deficiencies in signage and lighting in the Fernando Guanarteme business.
In the first case, the bar with a terrace on Joaquín Costa is required to cease operations within two days, with a warning of sealing if non-compliance occurs. The original complaint was based on noise disturbances and the failure to present a technical certificate on safety measures, despite previous requests.
In the second establishment, on Fernando Guanarteme, the suspension order is also issued due to non-compliance with requirements. The Local Police had reported a lack of emergency exit signage, lighting deficiencies, and the installation of a loudspeaker on the terrace.
In both cases, technical reports indicate that the documentation required by the City Council to rectify the detected deficiencies has not been submitted, leading to the order to cease activity.

Against these acts, which are final in administrative proceedings, an administrative litigation appeal can be filed within two months.
