The defendant acknowledged the facts during a conformity hearing, accepting the sentence agreed upon by the defense, the private prosecution, and the Public Prosecutor's Office. The sentence also includes a six-year restraining order against the victim and compensation of 2,700 euros for injuries and 9,550 euros for after-effects.
The sentence was reduced by applying two mitigating circumstances: reparation of damage, having financially compensated the victim, and drug addiction. The defendant's minor brother was also sentenced by a juvenile court for stabbing the victim four times.
The confrontation, which occurred on July 11, 2025, at the intersection of Juan Rejón street and Doctor Juan Domínguez Pérez, stemmed from a prior feud between two groups of young people. According to the defense, a gang fight had taken place hours earlier, affecting the minor.
The defendant admitted to having a verbal confrontation and pursuing two young men with his brother. They allegedly caught one of the victims, whom the defendant struck on the head with a blue PVC pipe. Subsequently, both brothers reportedly continued the assault with kicks and punches.
During the assault, the minor allegedly stabbed the victim four times. The injuries were so severe, including a traumatic brain injury and a lung laceration, that the victim was in critical condition and required emergency surgery to save his life.
