Four arrested following a serious assault at Santa Catalina park

A 25-year-old man remains hospitalized in serious condition after being beaten during the early hours of Sunday.

A 25-year-old man is in serious condition at Hospital Insular after being attacked by a group of people early Sunday morning in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The incident took place around 5:00 AM in the vicinity of Santa Catalina park. According to police and emergency services, the victim was surrounded by approximately ten individuals who repeatedly struck him in the head.
Following a call to the 112 emergency line, medical teams from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene to stabilize the victim. He was subsequently transported to the hospital with a severe traumatic brain injury.
The Local Police launched a search operation based on descriptions provided by witnesses. As a result, officers successfully located and arrested four of the alleged attackers, including two minors.
The investigation remains ongoing to clarify the full circumstances of the event and to identify and locate the remaining individuals involved in the assault.
