The appearance, requested by the President himself, is taking place in the Parliament of the Canary Islands, located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The objective is to provide comprehensive information on the transfer of the cruise ship MV Hondius to the port of Granadilla de Abona, in Tenerife, after a hantavirus outbreak was detected on board.
During his intervention, Fernando Clavijo will address the existing discrepancies with the Spanish Government regarding the strategy and actions implemented to manage this health emergency. The President is expected to clarify the points of disagreement and the measures adopted by the Canarian executive.
