Firefighters intervened on Friday afternoon to control a fire in a residential building located on Manuel Alemán street, in the Jinámar neighborhood, within the municipality of Telde. As a precautionary measure, the apartment block was evacuated while emergency teams worked to extinguish the flames.
The fire started on the fourth floor of a flat for reasons yet unknown. Fortunately, firefighters confirmed that there was no one inside the affected apartment at the time of the incident.
“"Security and Emergency services have assisted three people for smoke inhalation and urge residents to follow their instructions and avoid approaching the area to facilitate firefighting efforts."
Authorities have asked residents to cooperate with the instructions of the security teams and to avoid approaching the incident area so as not to hinder the extinguishing and assistance tasks.
