The initiative, led by actor and dancer Rafa del Pino, aims to serve as a tool for inclusion and socio-emotional development. Sessions, designed for users of the social centers network in Gran Canaria, are taking place at the Santa Brígida Occupational Center, under the purview of the Department of Social Services.
From September through December, participants explore non-verbal language and creativity through dynamics aimed at expressing emotions such as fear, joy, sadness, anger, or admiration. Each hour-and-a-half session includes movement, improvisation, theatrical games, mask work, and storytelling.
The program also addresses body awareness, relaxation, and emotional well-being, while fostering teamwork in a safe environment. The ultimate goal is the creation of artistic pieces and performances that highlight participants' abilities and promote societal awareness regarding inclusion.
The work will culminate in the creation of artistic pieces and performances that will showcase the results of the process, highlight the participants' capabilities and talents, and contribute to raising societal awareness about inclusion.
Rafa del Pino, with a significant career in theater, dance, and television, has worked as an actor, dancer, reporter, and presenter for various networks.
