The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has opened registration for its 2026 summer sports camps, offering more than 4,000 places for children and teenagers aged 4 to 14.

The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council this week began the registration period for its 2026 summer sports camps, a program that will provide over 4,000 places for young people. These activities are designed for children and adolescents aged between 4 and 14 years old.
The camps will be held at six municipal sports facilities located in different districts of the city. Most activities will run from late June to late July, with the López Socas Sports Complex in Altavista offering programs from June 22 to August 28. The Las Alcaravaneras beach camp, which requires participants to be able to swim, is reserved for those aged 9 to 14.
Weekly fees for the pavilion camps will be 26.75 euros, while the Alcaravaneras beach camp will cost 47.45 euros per week. Additionally, optional early drop-off and lunch services will be available at the López Socas and García San Román camps.
The program includes a variety of multi-sport activities such as football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, skating, and traditional games, as well as educational activities and workshops. The beach camp will also feature water activities.

"This new edition of the summer camps aims to promote physical activity, healthy leisure, and family conciliation during school holidays."

the Councilor for Sports and Youth
The Councilor for Sports and Youth emphasized that the initiative seeks to encourage sports participation from an early age and offer accessible, quality resources to assist families during the summer. These spaces also foster coexistence, learning, and personal development, allowing children to enjoy sports, make new friends, and adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
Registration is now available through the website laspalmasgcdeportiva.es, as well as at the Félix Santana Santana Pavilion and the Cono Sur Sports Center.
