Cultural activities have become a key factor for tourism in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, representing 35% of visitor opinions registered online. According to a recent study by Turismo LPA, based on the analysis of 180,000 reviews, spaces such as Santa Catalina Park, the Cathedral of Santa Ana, and the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium are among the most valued by those visiting the city.
The report, prepared by the consultancy Vivential Value, analyzes the city's online tourism reputation and the marketing of its offerings. The overall rating for the Gran Canaria capital stands at 8.50 out of 10, indicating high stability in user satisfaction. Tourist attractions score 9.14, while accommodation offerings reach 8.35, with emblematic hotels achieving 9.37%.
The capital's beaches also receive excellent ratings, with an average score of 9.17. Las Canteras leads with 9.28, followed by El Confital (9.54) and Las Alcaravaneras (8.64). The Councilor for Tourism, Pedro Quevedo, highlighted the importance of this objective data for strategic decision-making and tourism planning.
In the restaurant sector, while the reputation is good, challenges such as rising prices and the need for a more unique offering are identified. Municipal markets, such as the Vegueta Market (8.91) and the Mercado del Puerto (8.80), reinforce the city's gastronomic identity.
