The incident occurred on Sunday morning in the locality of Fagajesto, within the municipality of Gáldar, on Gran Canaria. The vehicle involved left the roadway and fell approximately 30 meters.
As a result of the accident, the car caught fire. The flames spread rapidly, affecting about 600 square meters of cane field. Emergency Consortium personnel worked to extinguish the blaze.

The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112 confirmed the driver's death. A task force from the Cabildo of Gran Canaria remains at the scene to cool and secure the area affected by the fire.
Officers from the Local Police and the Civil Guard were dispatched to the accident site. Both forces collaborated in the operation and are responsible for gathering the relevant evidence to clarify the causes of the crash.
