Zaira Sánchez López and Luka Vega García, two children from Telde, will be the protagonists voicing the municipality during the traditional Offering-Romería of Nuestra Señora del Pino in Teror next Monday, September 7th. They will be responsible for reciting décimas dedicated to Telde before the Patron Saint, marking one of the novelties in this year's Telde representation.
The participation of the minors is part of the celebration of the 675th anniversary of the City of Telde (1351-2026). The float representing the municipality, titled 'Telde, 675 Years of History', designed by the Department of Festivities of the Telde City Council, is an allegory of the city's historical trajectory.
The float will be adorned with representative products from Telde, including fruits and vegetables from the Vega de Telde, artisanal bread, cheese, honey, gofio, and traditional sweets. These elements aim to highlight the municipality's agricultural, livestock, and gastronomic richness and its history.
The cultural representation will feature the participation of the Folkloric Group Entre Amigos, accompanied by the dance groups Tajea y Torna, Baile Entre Amigos, and the School of Tradition and Culture of Jinámar. They will perform the song ‘Isa Popular’.
Telde will occupy the seventh position in the 74th edition of the Offering-Romería del Pino, with a representation focusing on young people, local products, music, and traditions.
