Inspired by the famous medieval story of The Ship of Fools, the show PlayTime draws out those characters who do not fit social norms to bring them closer to the universe of children's play: free, unpredictable, and with its own logic. The characters inhabit a deconstructed structure that evokes how children jump from one idea to another, creating worlds that are coherent to them and pure incoherence to adults.
In this asocial context, the characters enjoy radical freedom: without goals, without haste, with an irreverent pleasure for touching, trying, risking, and exploring what society considers untouchable. The piece celebrates imagination as a territory of resistance.
The event will take place at the Plaza de Canarias (Rear of Parque Santa Catalina), located in the central area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, between the El Muelle shopping center and Mesa y López avenue. This space has hosted various events and festivities.
The performances will be held on Thursday, September 24th, and Friday, September 25th, from 18:00 to 19:00. The offering falls within the performing arts and dance categories.
