The municipality's Department of Roads and Works, led by José Armengol, has opened the bidding period for a mixed contract that includes the conditioning, repaving, and improvement of pedestrian safety and accessibility in various areas. The actions will focus on Gonzalo Medina Street and adjacent roads, such as San Juanito, Concejal Antonio González Jiménez, and El Palmeral, as well as on Los Silos Road (Francisco Bravo de Laguna).
The project has a base bidding budget of 193,962.11 euros (including IGIC) and will be divided into four independent lots to facilitate company participation and expedite execution.
Lot 1 will be for the conditioning of Los Silos Road, with a budget of 103,896.56 euros and an estimated execution period of one and a half months. Lot 2 will focus on repaving and improving the pedestrian route on Gonzalo Medina Street and its adjacent roads, with a budget of 79,776.64 euros and an execution period of two months.
Lots 3 and 4 will cover the site supervision and health and safety coordination for the works in lots 1 and 2, respectively. Lot 3 has a budget of 3,288.90 euros, while Lot 4 is allocated 7,000.00 euros.
The financing for the actions in the first three lots will come from contributions within the Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria with the City Councils (PCA 2026). The technical supervision for Lot 4 will be entirely funded by municipal own funds.
Interested companies have a period of 20 calendar days to submit their electronic proposals through the Public Sector Contracting Platform. The deadline will be next October 1, 2026, at 23:59 hours.
