The Santa Brígida City Council has initiated the public tender process for the construction of a new Occupational Center, an investment set to double the current social care capacity in the municipality.

The tender, processed through simplified and ordinary open procedures, has a base budget of €1,392,284.97, including IGIC. This new facility will be integrated into the Island Network of Sociosanitary Services and the System for Autonomy and Care for Dependency, with funding from the Cabildo of Gran Canaria.
To encourage competition and facilitate the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises, the contract has been structured into four functional and independent lots. Lot 1, for the construction works, has a base budget of €1,360,281.27. Lots 2, 3, and 4 cover the Works Management, Execution Management and Safety and Health Coordination, and Execution Management of Installations, respectively, with budgets ranging from €4,810 to €12,550 excluding IGIC.
The tender documents include specific measures to ensure independence, transparency, and impartiality in supervision, preventing any bidder from being awarded simultaneously the works (Lot 1) and the management or coordination services (Lots 2, 3, and 4). A maximum of three lots per bidder is established.
The deadline for submitting offers is September 15, 2026, exclusively electronically. The construction works are expected to take 11 months.
The new Occupational Center represents a significant quantitative and qualitative leap for the social infrastructure network in Santa Brígida, expanding care capacity and improving service conditions.
