Spar opens urban store in Triana with technology and seven jobs

The chain Spar Gran Canaria has inaugurated a new urban supermarket, Spar City Perdomo, in the heart of Triana, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, creating seven jobs and focusing on technology for agile shopping.

The new establishment, located at Perdomo street 8, is designed to adapt to current consumption habits, offering a more agile and convenient shopping experience. It will be open from Monday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM and on Sundays and holidays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The store incorporates solutions focused on immediacy and convenience, such as a large 'Fresh To Go' area with ready-to-eat or take-away meals, and a self-service coffee station. Customers can choose from a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, and prepared dishes, with the option to heat them and consume them in a designated area. It features two self-checkout lanes and one staffed checkout.
In terms of technological innovation, Spar City Perdomo includes connected electronic labeling, the 'Captana' system for assortment management, a smart exit door with a barcode reader, the 'SmartTill' system for automatic cash management, and integrated digital signage.
These innovations aim to provide real-time updated information, streamline purchasing processes, and create a dynamic experience. The opening has generated seven new jobs to serve a sales floor of 139.98 square meters.
