The Telde City Council, through its Local Development Department, has presented the 'Depressed Rural Areas 2026 Telde' project. This initiative, subsidized by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), will facilitate the direct hiring of 73 unemployed individuals from the municipality, with backgrounds in agriculture, for a period of three months.
The plan has a total cost of 519,197.01 euros and a requested subsidy of 506,548.84 euros. Planned hires include 69 agricultural laborers, 3 foremen for task supervision, and one administrative profile.

The project's tasks are structured around two main action areas: the recovery of the Finca del Viso, which will involve cleaning, landscaping, removal of weeds and waste, restoration of walls, and land preparation; and the conditioning of agricultural areas and rural roads, including cleaning, rehabilitation, clearing, removal of debris, and management of rainwater and drainage systems.
Through this project, the Telde City Council reaffirms its commitment to fostering local employment, revitalizing the primary sector, and conserving the city's natural and agricultural heritage.
