For three nights, the sand of Salinetas will become a unique auditorium to enjoy film screenings with the sea as a backdrop. The sessions will take place on Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th, and Friday 28th of August, all starting at 8:30 PM.
This initiative, which has been very well received in previous years, aims to combine cinema, beach, and family leisure, consolidating itself as a characteristic image of the end of summer on the Telde coast. The City Council is once again betting on this simple and participatory format.
The program kicks off on Tuesday 25th with the family production Mufasa: The Lion King. On Wednesday 26th, the comedy El Casoplón will be screened, broadening the audience appeal. The cycle concludes on Friday 28th with Lilo and Stitch, another family title.
The films have been selected with citizen participation, maintaining the philosophy of involving families and residents in an activity designed for them. The Councilor for Youth, Cristhian Santana, highlights the uniqueness of enjoying a film on the sand with the sea as a backdrop, fostering encounters and memories.
The initiative is free and open to the public. Attendees are advised to arrive in advance and bring their own towel or chair. The City Council calls for public collaboration to keep the beach and promenade clean after the screenings.
The Summer Cinema is one of the highlights of 'Súbete a la Ola de la Vida 2026', a program that includes music, workshops, and family shows in various beaches of the municipality such as Playa del Hombre, Melenara, Tufia, Casas Nuevas, La Garita, and Ojos de Garza.
