The festivals of Argana Baja, in honor of the Virgen de Chaxiraxi, began this Friday in Arrecife, resuming a tradition that had been interrupted for three years. The organization is handled by the Festival Committee, made up of local residents, and has the support of the Festival Department of the Arrecife City Council.
The festive program kicked off at 8 PM with the inauguration of an exhibition of historical photographs of Argana Baja at the Sociocultural Center. Following the exhibition, a musical trio performed, featuring Lucía Queiruga as soloist, Acorán Ramos on the timple, and Samuel Suárez on guitar.
The Sociocultural Center will also host a 'parrandas' night on Saturday starting at 9 PM, with performances by the groups El Golpito and Pa’l Porrón. Additionally, on Tuesday, after the mass that begins at 6 PM, the play ‘El Apagón’ will be performed by Actúa7, starting at 8 PM.
Throughout the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, family workshops will be offered starting at 5 PM, designed for the enjoyment of all ages.
