The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of Canarias has announced the start of a new phase of traffic diversions in Arucas. These measures are necessary to advance the conditioning project of the GC-20, specifically in the section between kilometer points 3+400 and 4+870.
Starting today, the Santidad exit ramp from the GC-300 towards the GC-20 will be closed. This interruption will affect both entry and exit to Santidad from the GC-20 during the execution period of this phase of the new ring road, which connects Arucas with the capital of Gran Canaria.
To ensure traffic flow, alternative routes have been established. Drivers can use the GC-300 as the main access and exit road, as well as the GC-43, known as the Visvique road, and the GC-301, corresponding to the Tenoya road. These routes aim to minimize inconvenience for residents and visitors.
The estimated duration for this diversion is approximately 25 days, although this period may be adjusted depending on the progress of the works. The ministry has requested public cooperation and recommended planning journeys in advance, as well as paying attention to the signage installed in the area to ensure road safety.
