The technical office for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 2031 is touring the islands to incorporate contributions from the cultural sector into its European Capital of Culture project.

The project, titled Rebelión de la Geografía, aims to go beyond the municipal level to build a proposal with a strong archipelagic character. During the meetings, participants discuss shared challenges, collaboration lines, and connections between the various artistic scenes in the Canary Islands.
The initiative is open to artists, managers, cultural companies, associations, and public entities. The goal is for these contributions to enrich both the programming planned for the 2026-2031 period and the final legacy of the bid to be presented to the European jury.
Following sessions held in Lanzarote, La Palma, and Tenerife, the technical team will continue its outreach in La Gomera. The next meeting will take place on July 14 at the Dād. Unidad La Gomera space in San Sebastián de La Gomera.
