Four hooded individuals assaulted a jewelry store in the Cita Shopping Center, Playa del Inglés, on Saturday. After the robbery, they fled in a vehicle, pursued by officers from the National Police and the Local Police. The escape ended in the Telde neighborhood of Las Huesas, in Telde, where the assailants' car crashed into a house.
The alert was received around 11:40 AM, when an off-duty Canarian Police officer witnessed several hooded individuals transferring vehicles on Avenida de Gran Canaria, in Playa del Inglés. During this transfer, it is suspected that some jewels were lost or dropped.
The police pursuit extended to Telde. After losing control of the vehicle, the assailants crashed into a house and fled on foot. The National Police managed to arrest two of the occupants at the scene and a third as he attempted to enter a school. The fourth individual escaped and is currently being sought by officers from the National Police, the Local Police, and the Civil Guard.
