The Japanese attacker, one of the most prominent winter signings for the yellow team, was forced to leave the field at the beginning of the second half of the match against Málaga. The discomfort was located in the back of his left thigh, later confirmed as a muscle injury.
This injury will prevent Miyashiro from participating in UD Las Palmas' next three league commitments: the match against Leganés this Friday, the visit to Cádiz next Monday, April 27, and the clash with Valladolid on the first weekend of May.
Despite the severity, the club intends to conduct additional tests to try and reduce the recovery time, initially estimated between three and four weeks. The goal is for the player to be available for the decisive matches of the competition.
Miyashiro's absence, who has scored four goals and provided one assist in twelve matches, opens the door for other players. Among them, Estanis Pedrola, another winter signing, who has shown his quality with a goal on his debut and another against Huesca, proving to be an important substitute in the last match against Málaga.
