Woman with Prison Order Arrested in Las Canteras After Attacking Officers

The Canarian Police arrested the woman in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria after she disturbed public order and resisted arrest.

Officers of the Canarian Police have arrested a woman in the Las Canteras promenade, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, who had a judicial warrant for search, arrest, and imprisonment, following a public incident.

The police intervention began after a call was received at the CECOES 1-1-2 Control Center, reporting the presence of a person disturbing public order.
Upon being located, the woman provided false information to the officers and displayed violent behavior, even assaulting the police personnel. For these actions, she was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of crimes of assault on an authority agent, serious resistance, and damages.
After the relevant checks, officers confirmed that there was an active judicial order against the detainee. During her transfer to police facilities, the woman also caused damage to an official vehicle.
Finally, the detainee was handed over to the judicial authority to comply with the prison entry order.
