The Plaza de la Música in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be the epicenter for one of the four events of the Hyatlón Ambar Tour, the first official world tour of hybrid racing, from Friday, November 13 to Sunday, November 15. High demand has led the organization to add an extra competition day on Friday the 13th, as spots for Sunday the 15th are already sold out. Registrations for other days remain open until October 25.
Hyatlón is a hybrid discipline combining running with functional strength and resistance exercises. The H6 format, used for this event, includes a six-kilometer run with exercise stations such as a ski simulator, sled push, burpees, rowing, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Weights and distances are adapted according to category.
The competition will feature individual, doubles, and relay categories, with an emphasis on inclusion through a Paralympic hyatlón event. The individual category will take place on Saturday, November 14, featuring elite and open-level athletes. Doubles and relay categories will be distributed between Friday, November 13, and Sunday, November 15.
The national hyatlón circuit, organized by the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) with the support of World Triathlon, began in Madrid on October 10 and will continue in La Nucía (Alicante) on October 24, before concluding in Zaragoza on November 28. ExpoDeca 2026, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands and organized by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, underscores its role as the year's major sporting event in the Canary Islands.
