The Municipal Institute for the Promotion of Physical Activity and Sport (IMD) of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has awarded the contract for the management of the Directed Sports Activities Program (PADD) for an amount of 453,323.28 euros and a duration of four years.

The entity Cedaga II LP SLU will be responsible for the comprehensive management of directed sports activities in various municipal spaces, aimed at children and adults. The program includes modalities such as physical maintenance, fitness, weight training, yoga, tai chi, pilates, dance, hiking, contact sports, and martial arts, as well as activities adapted for people with disabilities.
Additionally, it includes summer and Christmas sports campaigns for children aged 4 to 14, and free promotional activities on weekends and holidays in different districts, which may amount to a maximum of 240 hours annually.
The contract also covers the annual organization of the event ‘PADD en la calle’ (PADD in the street), which will take place over two consecutive days with programs for different age groups, including yoga, zumba, futsal, and adapted modalities, as well as activities for people with disabilities.
The service will also provide advice and revitalization for the outdoor sports facilities Cubofit and BoxÁrea, located in Parque Juan Pablo II and Parque del Castillo de la Luz respectively, with technical staff available during operating hours.
The contractor will manage registrations, payments, and user support, and will develop a web tool or application to consult the offerings, schedules, and locations, and to carry out registrations.
Measures will be implemented to facilitate access to sports for vulnerable individuals and specific protocols for the care of people with intellectual disabilities during the summer and Christmas campaigns.
The contract includes a minimum annual investment of 25,000 euros for the maintenance, cleaning, and replacement of sports equipment, in addition to information, communication, personnel management, and quality control services.
The assigned personnel must possess the qualifications required, training in first aid, and the necessary accreditations for working with minors.
