Pérez Cruz, a member of the Loro Parque Hidráulica Los Silos Natural team and competing with bib number 746, completed the demanding 119.2-kilometer course with approximately 1,750 meters of elevation gain in Ourique. His finishing time was 3 hours, 46 minutes, and 37 seconds.
This achievement will allow him to compete in two significant events on the international calendar for the discipline. The 2027 Gravel European Championship is scheduled for July 31 and August 1 in Lahti, Finland, while the World Championship will take place in the French region of Haute-Savoie-Mont Blanc, from August 24 to September 5, 2027.
The qualification represents a new sporting challenge for Francis Pérez Cruz, who will carry the name of Telde to these international competitions.
