The early childhood education center Mi Escuelita, situated in the El Calero neighborhood of Telde, commemorates a decade dedicated to the care and education of young children. Leading this project is Abenchara Bermúdez, who has fostered a close, family-like approach, adapted to the individual needs of each child.
To mark this milestone, the Councilor for Local Development of the Telde City Council, Nayra Navarro, visited the facilities. The councilor gained firsthand insight into the center's operations and congratulated Bermúdez on her ten years of dedication, encouraging her to continue her entrepreneurial initiative within the municipality.
Specializing in the care of children aged 0 to 3, the center, located at Calle Pascal, number 11, employs a team of four educators. They work with small groups to ensure individualized monitoring of each child's development and prepare them for their subsequent school stages.
Mi Escuelita's educational project combines age-appropriate learning activities with playful proposals and experiences tailored to different stages of child development. Throughout the year, the center also organizes themed parties and special activities for the children.
A notable feature is its extensive operating hours, Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The establishment remains open year-round, except on public holidays, to facilitate work-life balance for families.
Mi Escuelita also provides complementary services for families with children attending the CEIP Esteban Navarro primary school. These include early drop-off, allowing children to be left at the center before the school day begins, and their subsequent escort to school at 8:00 AM.
Additionally, there is a pick-up service at 1:30 PM, with the option for children to stay at the center in the afternoon, accommodating various family needs. The offering is rounded out with a dining service and extracurricular activities, emphasizing direct family interaction and personalized attention.
After a decade of operation, Mi Escuelita maintains its commitment to small group sizes and a familiar environment, enabling educators to understand each child's needs and learning pace.
During her visit, Nayra Navarro was able to learn about the services and the daily work of the educational team. The councilor congratulated Bermúdez on reaching ten years at the helm of the center and wished her continued success.
