The municipality of Telde will light up turquoise this Saturday, September 26, to commemorate International Sign Language Day. The initiative, promoted by the Department of Health, led by Janoa Anceaume, and in collaboration with the Department of Public Lighting, directed by Juan Francisco Artiles, aims to give visibility to sign language and the reality of deaf people.
The main objective is to focus on the importance of guaranteeing communication, accessibility, and the participation of all people on equal terms. The council thus aims to contribute to social inclusion and the recognition of fundamental rights.
