The event, organized by the Bicitel Cycling Club School with the collaboration of the Department of Physical Activity and Sports of the Telde City Council and the Canary Islands Cycling Federation, aims to consolidate cycling's presence in the patron saint festivities.
Cristhian Santana, inviting citizens to enjoy the event, highlighted that the race keeps alive the memory of Tito Cabrera, a figure linked to local sports. He also emphasized the commitment to grassroots sports and new generations through the San Gregorio School Race.
The Crono Escalada Ciudad de Telde–Memorial Tito Cabrera will start at 9:00 AM. It will feature cyclists from the sub-23, elite, junior, cadet, master 30, 40, 50, and 60 categories, both male and female. The six-kilometer route will begin at the Vial Costero de Telde, heading towards Playa del Hombre, and will finish on Poeta Fernando González street around 11:00 AM.
Subsequently, at 11:00 AM, the San Gregorio School Race will take place, counting towards the 2026 Gran Canaria Championship. It will bring together young cyclists from the promise, beginner, alevín, and infantil categories. The circuit will finish on the same Poeta Fernando González street, with completion expected around 1:00 PM.
Detailed schedules include registration confirmation and bib collection from 8:00 to 8:30 AM for the time trial, and from 10:00 to 10:30 AM for the school race. The directors' meeting will be at 10:40 AM.
