The El Rosario City Council has awarded Socaire Arquitectos SLP the drafting of the execution project for the first phase of the La Esperanza Integral Sports Center, which includes the pool building, for an amount of 141,487 euros.

The El Rosario City Council has taken a decisive step towards the construction of its long-demanded municipal swimming pool by awarding the drafting of the “Execution Project for the pool building of the La Esperanza Integral Sports Center” to the firm Socaire Arquitectos SLP. The contract was awarded for an amount of 141,487.17 euros.
The contract covers the technical development of the first phase, which includes the pool building, its facilities, access points, connections to service networks, and the necessary urbanization works for its operation. This phase must be a complete and autonomous work, capable of entering service independently of subsequent phases of the complex. Socaire Arquitectos SLP was selected from four architectural firms that submitted bids, achieving the highest score based on the award criteria.
The mayor, Escolástico Gil, highlighted that this award represents a decisive advance in fulfilling a historic demand of the municipality. "The municipal pool has been a demand and a commitment to our residents for many years. Today we can clearly say that this commitment is now a reality," he stated.
Gil recalled that the City Council has funded all project steps with its own resources, from land acquisition to the contracting of the final development. Furthermore, the Council already has six million euros in its own funds to finance the first phase of the works.
The sports complex will be located on Francisco Rodríguez Machado street, next to the La Esperanza Sports Pavilion, and will serve the entire population of the municipality, where over 8,000 people reside in its direct influence area out of nearly 19,000 inhabitants in El Rosario.
The architectural design for this first phase proposes three distinct volumes: the entrance, the main pool, and the gymnasium, located above the entrance area. The building will be integrated into the plot through a stepped construction, partially buried in its upper part, and will feature an open basement parking. The proposal also includes an access plaza and a public tiered space connecting the new facilities with the current La Esperanza pavilion.
The overall project development includes, in addition to the main pool, a therapeutic pool, a gymnasium, changing rooms, administrative offices, and complementary spaces such as paddle tennis courts and two outdoor multi-purpose courts.
