The Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) has published the official list of local holidays for 2027, establishing two non-working, paid days for each of the 88 municipalities in the archipelago.

The Department of Tourism and Employment has formalized the dates proposed by the municipal councils, which will be added to the state and regional holidays. These local holidays will be considered working days and will not be recoverable, as established by the Workers' Statute, which sets a maximum of 14 annual holidays.
The list details the two festivities chosen by each town hall, including days such as Carnival Tuesday, local patron saint days like San Juan Bautista, Nuestra Señora del Carmen, or celebrations specific to each locality.
The municipalities of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Gomera, and El Hierro now know their specific holiday dates for the upcoming year, which will take effect from August 22, 2026.
This publication completes the Canary Islands' labor calendar for 2027, following the prior approval of the regional decree that already established the regional holidays.
