The initiative, titled 'Coffee: Inside and Outside the Cup,' aims to introduce the public to the world of specialty coffee and its gastronomic applications. The event will take place at the center's facilities, located at Avenida de San Sebastián, 152.
From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, barista Jhon Fernando Ardila will lead an introductory workshop. He will explain the main characteristics of specialty coffee, its origin, and its journey from plant to roaster, combining theory and practice with a tasting session.
Complementing the workshop, the professional team from the Hotel Escuela Santa Brígida, under the direction of head chef Carlos Bruno, has designed a themed menu. The culinary proposal includes an Espresso Martini as an aperitif, followed by options such as pear salad with coffee vinaigrette or pumpkin and coffee cream. Main courses feature hake with coffee and citrus beurre blanc or pork tenderloin with potato parmentier and coffee sauce, concluding with tiramisu.
The menu is priced at 25 euros and is limited to twenty diners. Those interested in participating in one or both activities must register in advance via email at inscripciones.proyectos@hecansa.com.
