The Plaza del Adelantado in La Esperanza celebrated 'Noche de Finados', a cultural evening organized for All Saints' Day that brought together tradition, music, and theater.

The Plaza del Adelantado, in La Esperanza, hosted yesterday, Monday, the celebration of “Noche de Finados” (All Souls' Night), a cultural event organized for All Saints' Day that brought together tradition, music, and theater around one of the most deeply rooted customs in the Canary Islands.
The evening featured the theatrical performance “Luz de ausentes” (Light of the Absent) and musical performances by Majorero timple player Domingo Rodríguez “El Colorao”, Marco del Castillo, and singers Pedro Manuel Afonso and Ciro Corujo, who provided voice and music for a night dedicated to remembrance and popular traditions.
The mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, accompanied by several local government councilors, attended the event, where the public also enjoyed a tasting of traditional products typical of these dates, such as pork stew and chestnuts, wine, anise, and gofio.
Through this initiative, La Esperanza once again championed the Finados tradition, a celebration that keeps Canarian cultural heritage and the memory of those who are no longer with us alive.
