The town of Machado, in El Rosario, was the venue for the 34th edition of the Tenerife Band Music Congress, an event that brought together three musical ensembles from the island.

The gathering, held yesterday, Monday, aimed to promote music, tradition, and coexistence among the ensembles.
The participants included the AM “Santa Cecilia” from Tacoronte; the AMC “José Manuel Cabrera Mejías” from Icod de los Vinos; and the ACM “Princesa Yaiza” from El Rosario. This initiative seeks to strengthen ties between the bands and showcase their work in different parts of Tenerife, emphasizing their contribution to the island's culture and musical heritage.
The deputy mayor of El Rosario, Fátima Gutiérrez, attended the event representing the municipality. Mayor Escolástico Gil was unable to attend as he was in Brussels participating in the 24th European Week of Regions and Cities, as a member of the Executive Committee of the Canary Islands Federation of Municipalities.
