The incident occurred around 7:17 PM last Thursday in a residence located on Ernesto Anastasio street in the capital of Tenerife. Following the alert, the 112 Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center activated response protocols.
Personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene to assist the affected individual, who had sustained moderate burns. After receiving initial aid, the person was transported by ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria for further evaluation and treatment.
Firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium also responded to the dwelling, where they successfully extinguished the flames that had originated in the kitchen. Once the fire was under control, they proceeded to ventilate the area to clear accumulated smoke.
Additionally, officers from the Local Police collaborated in coordination and security efforts in the vicinity, while agents from the National Police carried out the necessary investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
