A 51-year-old motorcyclist has been injured with a moderate prognosis after falling in the Tres de Mayo tunnel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which caused the temporary closure of the road.

The accident occurred this Friday around 2:26 PM, when the motorcycle rider lost control and fell onto the roadway. Eyewitnesses alerted the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112, requesting medical assistance for the affected person.
Resources from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the Road Service were dispatched to the scene. SUC medical personnel attended to the injured man, a 51-year-old male who sustained various moderate-prognosis traumas.
After being stabilized at the scene, the motorcyclist was evacuated by a basic life support ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC) for definitive diagnosis.
The Local Police directed traffic in the tunnel to prevent further incidents and have initiated a report to clarify the circumstances of the crash. Road Service operators were responsible for marking, cleaning, and clearing the road to restore normal traffic flow.
