The intervention will be carried out in four consecutive phases, which will lead to provisional traffic diversions and the temporary removal of parking spaces along the street. The project, part of the municipal Impulso Urbano plan, has an investment of 230,000 euros.
The resurfacing work will take place from Monday to Friday, between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, with the aim of completing the intervention by the end of the month. Each of the four phases is estimated to last three days to minimize the impact on mobility in the area.
The first phase, starting on Monday, August 17, focuses on the initial section of Simón Bolívar street in the Tío Pino area. Subsequently, the second phase (from Thursday, August 20) will cover the stretch between Tío Pino and Alcalde Mandillo Tejera street. The third phase, scheduled for Monday, August 24, will affect the section between Alcalde Mandillo Tejera and Granados street. Finally, the fourth and last phase will take place from Wednesday, August 26, covering the area from Granados street to Benito Pérez Armas avenue.
During the execution of the plan, parking will be temporarily prohibited on the sides of the street as the work progresses. The council requests the cooperation of citizens to remove vehicles from the marked areas before the start of work in each section. The Traffic department will establish duly signposted alternative routes to facilitate circulation.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to exercise extreme caution when traveling in the vicinity of the works to ensure safety.
