The Tenerife capital hosted the traditional Bicycle Festival, bringing together nearly a thousand participants for a festive route that promoted coexistence and healthy habits.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife experienced a massive edition of the Bicycle Festival this Sunday, solidifying its place as one of the most popular sporting events on the municipal calendar. Approximately a thousand registered participants completed the route between La Granja park and the Puerto-Ciudad esplanade, in a day marked by color, community, and outdoor sports.
The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, highlighted the high citizen participation, calling the festival one of the "most beloved" activities on the calendar. He emphasized the morning of "coexistence, sport, and sustainability," reflecting the city's commitment to healthy lifestyles and the enjoyment of public spaces.
For her part, the Councilor for Sports, Alicia Cebrián, described the edition as "very special," underscoring the "magnificent atmosphere" and the involvement of all age groups. Seeing streets filled with families and fans cheering on the cyclists confirmed the success of an initiative that promotes healthy habits, sustainable mobility, and citizen coexistence.
The event, organized by the Sports Service of the Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, was sponsored by El Corte Inglés and supported by the Fundación Santa Cruz Sostenible and the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The day concluded with a raffle of 20 bicycles, a gift from El Corte Inglés.
Also present at the closing ceremony, held at the Puerto-Ciudad esplanade, were the Councilor for Social Policies, Charín González, and the Head of Communication and External Relations for El Corte Inglés, Jonathan Piñero.
