The gathering, organized by the Santa Cruz Sostenible Foundation in collaboration with the Moeve Foundation, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Cabildo de Tenerife, was structured into two parts. The morning featured conferences and public debate panels, while the afternoon included a participatory diagnostic workshop to gather proposals and visions for the urban development of the Tenerife capital.
The conference brought together international specialists, institutional representatives, and social agents to address the transformation of cities into environments capable of integrating and regenerating nature, while improving the quality of life for their inhabitants. Key topics discussed included traffic-related pollution, soil impermeabilization, and the urgent need to rethink urban development from a more environmentally respectful perspective.
One of the central themes of the meeting was regenerative culture, understood as a change in how the relationship between city and nature is conceived. This approach proposes restoring ecosystems, strengthening communities, and generating positive impacts on the environment.
This second edition of City 360º offered a comprehensive view of the challenges facing Santa Cruz de Tenerife in building the city of the future, highlighting the importance of both expert opinions and citizen perspectives.
The event featured the participation of international experts, whose interventions provided an innovative vision for the future of cities. Additionally, urban transformation experiences from other locations were presented, demonstrating the relevance of a sustained strategy and a shared vision to drive urban regeneration processes.
