The event, officially starting at 9:00 PM, will be centered around La Noria street. The organization has arranged a total of 720 tables, providing seating for over 7,000 people, in addition to thousands more who will enjoy the musical offerings in the common areas.
The festive area has been extended for this edition, covering Antonio Domínguez Alfonso (La Noria), Nifú-Nifá, Campo Castro, and Bravo Murillo streets, as well as Europa Square and the Church of La Concepción. For the second consecutive year, Candelaria and Santo Domingo streets have also been integrated into the route, thus consolidating the growth of this celebratory space.
One of the strict rules for accessing the venue is the use of traditional Canarian attire, a measure that the Santa Cruz City Council emphasizes as essential to preserve the identity and historical character of the festivity.
The night's musical program will be divided into several environments to cater to various tastes. The Campo Castro stage will host parrandas with performances by groups such as Las Siembras and A.F. Jariguo. In Europa Square, the taifas dance will be the main attraction with groups like Alcorán and Aceviños. For those seeking a lively street party atmosphere, the Cabo bridge will pulsate with orchestras such as Tropin and Sonora Olympia, along with a performance by Pepe Benavente.
“"The Baile de Magos is an event where Santa Cruz showcases its pride in traditions and its capacity for coexistence."
Before the dance begins, the city will celebrate the traditional Offering to the Virgen de Candelaria, where various groups and folk ensembles will parade in their typical costumes to pay tribute to the Patron Saint of the Canary Islands. This festive weekend also coincides with events marking the 532nd anniversary of the founding of Santa Cruz, which will culminate on Sunday morning with an institutional and cultural agenda.
